The World’s Fair Bid Committee Educational Fund creates local, national, and international support for advancing the Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs) by promoting and facilitating international expositions and other global initiatives.
Our History
Since our founding in 2013, the World's Fair Bid Committee Educational Fund has promoted local and national participation by U.S. citizens and our government in international expositions. For example, we led the campaign that brought the U.S. back into full membership in the Bureau International des Expositions, the official coordinator of World Expos, making it possible for cities in the USA to host future expos.
Our Achievements
Over the years, we have organized numerous forums, gatherings, and events focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals. We have raised over $2 million to support Minnesota’s bids to host international expositions in 2023, 2025, 2027, and 2031. Our efforts have also extended to participating in United Nations-led events worldwide, where we have consistently advocated for the SDGs.
